Descriptions

The island of Lombok is Dominated by Mount Rinjani! Gunung Rinjani [3726m] is a stratovolcano, the highest mountain on the island of Lombok and the second highest in Indonesia. Semi active volcano and held in awe by the islanders who regularly ascend the steep treks to the crater Rim. You will follow in their footsteps completing an introductory trek trail and spending a full day exploration the crater to appreciate the bright emerald green waters of Lake Segara Anak. After wandering in Rinjani you will then travel by boat to the tranquil Gili islands where you can indulge your self in some snorkelling or just have relaxing on its beautiful white sand beaches. You will complete this 10 days exciting tour package with fascinating cultural tour on Lombok including the Sasak village, traditional weaving in Sukarara, Narmada the water castle, Mataram and gorgeous beach of Tanjung A’an.

The tour package duration are 7 days with grade introductory level to moderate and your activities trekking, adventure tourism and cruising. You accommodation 3 days trek, 4 nights hotels / guest house and 2 nights camping. The trip package are fully organized combination of adventure, leisure, ecotourism, and safety. About the Trek
You will encounter steep ascents and descents on a fairly good system of tracks whilst on the trek.. A good level of fitness is required. Please contact us if you would like some suggestions in relation to pre trip training or if you are concerned about your fitness level.

All meals will be prepared by your guide and porters on open fires and fuel stoves. Your porters will exhibit super human strength in getting all your camping gear up the mountain and is a constant source of amazement to trekkers! Expect traditional Indonesian style rice based meals. The meals are excellent relative to what you might expect on a typical western style commercial trek. The staff take great pride in their cooking skills and presentation of your meal. Any offers to help are welcome but not expected.

All your camping gear is supplied but if you want to take your own light weight sleeping bag or sleeping mat that’s fine. This can be arranged at your pre trip briefing in Senggigi Beach [our office]. Most trekkers will carry a small pack or day pack with personal items such as clothes, toiletries and photography gear. Keep the gear to a minimum and don’t take anything up the mountain that you don’t have to!

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Lombok International Airport – Senggigi Hotel Check In

On arrival at Lombok International Airport, you will be met in the arrival hall by our staff and transferred to your accommodation at Senggigi Beach.

Day 2: Senggigi – Senaru Crater Rim

Hotel picks up at 06.00 AM and then transfer to Senaru, Register at the Rinjani Trek Centre (RTC) in Senaru The first hours of the trek you will pass local field plantation where you can see the coffee plantation and other local plantation in Lombok until National park forest gate. The second hours you will into the national park forest where you will climb steeply through thick tropical forest rich in flora, birdlife and variety of butterflies around 1-hour walk you will arrive at Pos 1 where you can take rest.
From Pos 1, you can continue your journey to the extra pos with a similar atmosphere, around 1,5 hours you will arrive at Extra pos take rest for while and enjoy the forest atmosphere. Continue your trip to pos 2 at Montong Satas ( 1,500 ASL ) about 1hours, you might see orchid and if lucky, the rare black ebony leaf monkey, known locally as lutung on the way, arriving at Pos 2, take rest for 1 hour and enjoy tasty food of your lunch. When you ready and get fresh, continue the trek to Pos 3 Mondokan Lolak ( 2000 ASL ) for about 2 hours, enjoy the atmosphere of Rinjani mountain and another wild animal on the way, arrived at Mondokan lolak, take rest and you can take pictures of many monkeys you can find in this area. Continue the trek to Cemara 5 pos approximately 45 minutes, arrived at Cemara 5 Pos, take rest for a while. The next trek are to the rim, about 45 minutes you will see savanna, Gili island and Mount Agung Bali also will be nice view from here, cause in this area are less tree most here are grass, when you arrived at the rim ( 2.641 ), from the crater rim are sweeping views across the lake Segara Anak, Within the crater Mt. Baru ( 2,351m) is an active, On a clear evening the Gili Isles, Bali, and Mt. Agung can be seen to the west. Overnight at Crater rim, free at your own leisure.

Day 3: Senaru Crater Rim – Senaru Village – Gili Island

Sunrise at the crater rim is memorable, After enjoying the view and breakfast, descend down the trail down to Senaru village through first grassland then back into the shade of the tropical forest. After about five to seven hours from the rim, the trek ends at Rinjani Trek Centre at the road head in Senaru, when you arrived at Rinjani entrance at Senaru, the driver will pick you up and take you to the pier, arrive at the pier, take speed boat to Gili Trawangan, arrive at Gili Trawangan, check-in at your hotel, free at your own leisure.

Day 4: Free at your own leisure – SPA Massage

After breakfast, This day it time to enjoy the Gili island atmosphere and hotel facilities, or Chill out on the beach. enjoy a 1-hour spa massage at the hotel.

Day 5: Gili Trawangan – Snorkeling Activity – Senggigi

After breakfast, prepare for check out from the hotel, explore the island by boat and enjoy huge coral garden in Meno island and fish feeding activity in Gili Air during Snorkeling on the island, after snorkeling ride boat to mainland and take you to Senggigi, on the way stopover at Nipah hill for Picture time with nice landscape with 3 Gili island as the background on the north and Mount Agung Bali in the west, arrive in Senggigi, check-in, free at your own leisure.

Day 6: Cultural and Beaches Tour

This morning Explore south Lombok to know the culture and tradition of Lombok by Visiting Traditional village, Sukarara hand weaving, Banyumulek village and Visit Gorgeous Selong Belanak Beach with white sandy beaches and if you want more activity you can do surfing in Selong Belanak as optional activity, after enjoying the beaches, back to you hotel in Senggigi free at your own leisure.

Day 7: Senggigi – Lombok International Airport

Following breakfast, the trip concludes. Transfers to the airport will be arranged for your outbound flights.

What to Carry During The Trekking

During the trek you will just have to carry your small day pack with essential items such as sunglasses, sunscreen, water etc. Porters are employed to carry the rest of your gear on the trek. Please keep this to a minimum while on the trek. The only equipment required is hiking boots / shoes.
