Descriptions

The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park covers a massive area of 800 square km in the center of East Java. For anyone with an interest in volcanoes, a visit to the park is a must. This is the largest volcanic region in the province. Visit the park and see the plumes of smoke coming from Mt Semeru, an active volcano which rises 3,676 meters above sea level. Experience the remarkable Tengger Caldera, Java’s largest, with its 10 km barren desert-like sea of sand. Within the caldera rise the deeply fissures volcanic cones of Batok and Bromo, the latter is still active with a cavernous crater from which smoke blows skyward. Temperatures at the top of Mt Bromo range about 5-18 degrees Celsius. To the south of the park is a rolling upland plateau dissected by valleys and dotted with several small scenic lakes, extending to the foot of Mt Semeru.

Trek Preparation
We highly recommended you to have an travel insurance and exercise before the trip start, at least you do walk 5 kilometers in a day at home, or joint with the fitness center at your home.

Guide & Porters
We hire only professional mountain guide and porters from the nearest villages in the area of National Park who has pass the guiding and handling test and hold a valid guide license. Trekking Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Surabaya – Ranu Pane

Upon arrival at Surabaya Airport, our represntatif will welcoming great and meets you then drive you to Ranu Pane Malang district. Check in at your accommodation and free at your own leisure time.

Day 02: Ranu Pane – Ranu Kumbolo – Kali Mati Camp Site

Today we will begin our hard work to start our trekking journey after breakfast. We will trek up to Ranu Kumbolo, as you will ascend the trek trail you will enjoy awesome scenery from Ranu Kumbolo, the continue to camp site at Kali Mati. Stay over night.

Day 03: Kali Mati Camp – Mahameru Summit – Ranu Kumbolo

Wake up call about 00 am then having a light breakfast and a cup of tea then trek up to attac the Mahameru summit, enjoy the the sorounding. Back to Kali Mati for having breakfast and proceed to Ranu Kumbolo camp site. stay for overngiht. free at your own leisure time.

Day 4: Ranu Kumbolo – Ranu Pani – Cemoro Lawang

Morning after breakfast we return to Ranu Pani Village. By 4 Wheel-drive Jeep, we drive you on to Cemoro Lawang Village crossing the Bromo’s Sea of Sand area for your overnight stay at the closest situated hotel to the Caldera.

Day 5 : Mt. Penanjakan Sunrise- Mt. Bomo Crater – Banyuwangi

Another early morning wake up! By 4 wheel-drive Jeep we drive you up to Mt. Pananjakan (2,770 M asl) for a spectacular view of sun rise over Mt. Bromo and it’s sea of sand. Trekking up to the crater rim of Mt. Bromo’s for close up view of it’s smoking crater. Return to hotel for breakfast. After enjoy the sorrounding we then travel to Banyuwangi for your leisure time.Prepare for Ijen blue flames tour on the midnight.

Day 6: Ijen Blue Flame Tour – Surabaya

ijen volcano tourAt 01.00 AM, Our crew will pick you up and drive to the slope of Mount Ijen, this journey takes approximately 1 hour from the hotel passing through plantations and rainforest. This is one of the few remaining areas on Java with giant ferns and plants, & big trees. From the entrance to Ijen it is about 1.5 hours to ascend slope of Mount Ijen to reach the rim of Ijen Crater. Along the path you will enjoy the stunning natural scenery with fresh air & shady. Depending on smoke thickness we can continue going down into the crater, to get closer from the blue flames.

The path going down into the crater takes about 20 minutes. Down inside the crater you will be able see the amazing the blue flames and also you will see the sulfur miners at work. They climb back up the scrabble path out of Ijen Crater with as much as 80 kilograms on their shoulders. Don’t forget to take picture with the blue flames as your background as a proof that you have seen the blue flames in Ijen crater.

Time in the crater is around 30 minutes. Back at the rim, we can rest at an altitude of 2386 meters above sea level and enjoy the amazing panorama of the lake & surrounding peaks. It truly is a vision to behold. You will also enjoy the beautiful scenery around the rim of Ijen as one of God’s amazing creation, as we walk around the rim a bit.

Don’t forget to take pictures in this area also as a proof that you have visited one of the most amazing places on earth. Also remember this – there are no handrails around the rim, so be very careful. The descent is actually refreshing with Merapi & Raung in view on the way down. We’ll stop at the miner’s shack for a short rest & continue on to our vehicle. Head back to the hotel for breakfast. after well preapre and enjoy the sorrounding we will travel back to Surabaya for chill out time.

Day 7: Departure
Enjoy the hotel facilities before departure time, our driver will pick you up for departure to Surabaya airport for your next destination. Trip concluded.
