Descriptions

Borneo or Kalimantan is well known as the center of Mega Diversity, this island is the richest diversity of vegetation among the islands belonging to the sub territory of Sunda Bio-Geography, comprising the islands of Borneo, Sumatera, and Java. It is the center for the tree species belonging to the dipterocarp family.

Trekking to the jungle of Borneo will let you touch the unspoiled rain forest flowed by wonderful rivers and grown by diverse of vegetation that sustain the ecological harmony for all creatures as well as the unique life of the Dayak people that unite to the nature with their friendly attitude and hospitality that tend to make visitors immediately feel at home in their midst.

Trip Itinerary

Day 01: ARRIVAL IN BANJARMASIN
Meet at airport and directly transfer to hotel for check in. Next, exploring Banjarese river civilization by taking an afternoon canal sightseeing. Afterwards, return to hotel for overnight. Free at your own leisure. (D)

Day 02: FLOATING MARKET – PANDAK DAUN – LOKSADO
Early in the morning, we will leave to floating market for exploring the unique culture of Banjarese that trade commodities from boat to boat, then return to hotel crossing Banjarmasin River while sightseeing people activities at riverside. Breakfast at hotel, then continue our trip to visit Pandak Daun swamp village for observing water buffaloes swim to the stall and villagers’ unique activities as well as enjoying the romantic sunset outlook. Afterwards, proceed to Loksado for overnight on lodge. (B,L,D)

Day 03: RAIN FOREST TREKKING
After breakfast, we will be trekking to the virgin jungle crossing secondary rain forest, hills, hanging and suspended bamboo bridges, villager farmlands, rivers and cascades, longhouses, cinnamon and rubber trees. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on bivouac/tent. (B,L,D)

Day 04: RAIN FOREST TREKKING
Exploring the flora and fauna of the jungle, then proceed to Loksado through different trail crossing secondary rain forest, hills, hanging and suspended bamboo bridges, villager farmlands, rivers and cascades, longhouses, cinnamon and rubber trees. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on lodge. (B,L,D)

Day 05: BAMBOO RAFTING – BATU LAKI
After breakfast, we will take an adventure trip of bamboo rafting across beautiful landscape of tropical rain forest along the Amandit riverside meanwhile our coach will be waiting on the downstream for driving to Batulaki hill for setting our campsite under the cliff. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on bivouac/tent. (B,L,D)

Day 06: ROCK CLIMBING – KANDANGAN
After breakfast, we will get a full day rock climbing on the crags of Batulaki hill with various challenged routes. In the afternoon, we will drive to Kandangan for overnight on hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 07: KANDANGAN – TRIP CONCLUDE
Breakfast at hotel and free at your own leisure till the proper time for transferring to airport for your next destination. (B)
