Scuba Diving In Lombok
Lombok offers interesting scuba diving for
beginners to experienced divers. The main
diving takes place around the Gili islands
which lies in the
northwest of Lombok in the strait between
Lombok and Bali. Through the Lombok strait
between Bali and Lombok flows the Indonesian
Through flow (Arus
Lintas Indonesia), a massive flow of water
that passes from the Pacific to the Indian
Ocean. The result is a rich underwater life
and during certain times of the year also
large fish like sharks, eagle rays, turtles
and manta rays come and visit the reefs.

Gili Cat Fast
Boat
Gili Cat, an
Australian built small fast ferry, departs from Padang Bai
harbor on Bali at 9.00am everyday and travels to Gili
Trawangan and Teluk Kodek Harbor Lombok, before making return
trip to Bali, departing Gili Trawangan at 11.30 am. Lombok
mainland pick up pick up and departures are daily from Teluk
Kodek, arriving at Teluk Kodek at 10.30 am and leaving at
12.15 pm. Their service also includes free transfers between
Padang Bai, Ubud, Kuta, and Sanur.
Gili Cat
is a fiberglass catamaran built in Australia to international
survey standard. Our 12.00 m vessel is powered by twin Suzuki
300hp four stroke engines and capable of cruising comfortably
at 30 knots. We seat 18 passengers under cover. We get you
there in the minimum time, and as dry as when you stepped on
the boat. There is ample room to stow luggage and each
passenger is allowed a two bags. We have the latest in safety
features and equipment, and a SOLAS standard life preserver
for every passenger.
Characteristics and facilities on board: fuel capacity 1400
lt, range 450 miles, toilet, radar, GPS, depth sounder,
ship-to-shore radio, life raft (capsule), life preservers
(SOLAS), fire extinguisher, EPIRB.
Gili Cat
seat 16 passengers comfortably and dry in their spacious cabin
area. All of your luggage will be stowed away securely in the
bow of the boat where the boat have a dedicated luggage area.
Gili Cat porters carry your luggage, diving gear, surfboards,
free of charge. All you have to do is make yourself
comfortable and enjoy the beautiful views of the cliffs,
shores, and volcanoes of Bali and Lombok. To give you an idea,

The Blue Water
Express is operated by Blue Water Safaris, providing
transfer between Bali and Gili Trawangan. BWS operated two
boats, with 25 and 15 passanggers capacities, departing from
Bali Marina ( Benoa Harbor ) in Bali everyday at 8 am and
from Gili Trawangan at 11 am. Fares include airconditioned
hotel transfers in Bali.
